In its 17th year, the Myrtle Beach Marathon has teamed up with the Rare Species Fund to support wildlife conservation. RSF is funded by the local group T.I.G.E.R.S., who have scheduled some exciting animal encounters for the event. The marathon supports additional charities, including the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of South Carolina, the local chapter of the American Red Cross and Horry County Schools.
