Hailing from Massachusetts, the Dropkick Murphys are an American Celtic punk band that formed in 1996. The group’s 2004 hit “Tessie” is one of its biggest charting singles to date, but Dropkick Murphys are perhaps best known for “I’m Shipping Up to Boston.” This track was featured in the Academy Award-winning The Departed and is an anthem for many Boston sports teams. The band’s eighth studio album, Signed and Sealed in Blood, was released in 2013.
