The stage adaptation of Alice Walker’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, The Color Purple tells the story of Celie. A black woman from Georgia, Celie manages to inspire as she finds the strength to overcome a lifetime of abuse. Amidst an array of other impressive characters, such as juke-joint singer Shug Avery and the powerful Sofia, Celie finds her unique voice.
