Taste of the Coast fundraiser returns to Barefoot Landing

Taste of the Coast returns to Barefoot Landing for year number six of good foods for good causes. Through the efforts and support of the Coastal Culinary Committee, Risen Christ Lutheran School raises scholarship and operating funds by offering up some of the yummiest samples of favorite area restaurants. The school never denies admittance to students because of a family’s economic situation. The Eagle Fund, which benefits in great part from this event, is a scholarship that helps to assist families in need, a group that is growing in these difficult economic times. The event helps two organizations with one bite by collecting canned goods, which Barefoot Landing will use to help organize a food drive for North Strand Helping Hand.

Slated as the largest and best Taste of the Coast yet, this year’s event features scrumptious tasters from restaurants like The Melting Pot, 21 Main at North Beach, Greg Norman’s Australian Grille and many more. Restaurants will vie for different titles, such as best appetizer and best decorated booth.

Aside from the main attraction of irresistible eats, this family-friendly event features a Kid Zone with inflatables, balloon artists, face painters and more. Grownups can enjoy the wine and beer tents, while live music and dance programs are with all ages.
