The quirky Athens-based band’s 2008 release Funplex is their first original album in 16 years, debuting at a respectable 11 on the U.S. charts. Drummer Keith Strickland describes Funplex as “loud, sexy rock and roll with the beat turned up to hot pink.” The band plays about 60 shows a year, and hits like “Love Shack” and “Rock Lobster” are still favorites among fans.
