An annual event that got its start in 1979, the Loris festival plays host to the chicken bog-cooking contest and will feature a parade, crafts, arts, games, bands, local entertainment and gospel singing. Traditionally held every third Saturday in October, the Bog-Off will include 200 vendors, a kid’s pavilion, a concert and fireworks.
