Consisting of two championship races—the USAT Halfmax National Championship and the USAT Club National Championship, the Myrtle Beach Triathlon festival is expected to attract between 1,500 and 2,000 athletes. The Halfmax long course triathlon requires all athletes to qualify while the intermediate and sprint events are open to all.
