The ninth-annual Good Friends Luncheon on Pawleys Island, sponsored by the Department of Social Services, raised funds for underprivileged families of the Grand Strand who miss out on other welfare. The luncheon, whose motto’s “an hour for lunch, a year for charity,” featured three keynote speakers, a catered lunch, and Santa, who collected the money.
