The 46th annual version scheduled for Sept. 19

Time for a Hoe-Down!

The 46th annual Aynor Hoe-Down is set for Saturday, September 19. Sponsored by the Pilot Club of Aynor, and encompassing several blocks around Aynor Town Park and Main Street, this free event is one of the longest-running festivals in Horry and surrounding counties.

“I have 55 vendors already in for the 2026 Hoe-Down,” notes Phyllis Morrison, festival coordinator. “The vendors are so excited for this year and some had their application in since April. They can't wait and are counting the days!”

The all-day fall festival typically kicks off with a morning parade at 10 a.m., followed by live entertainment, hundreds of craft vendors, and local Southern staples like barbecue and chicken bog.

The popular event typically sees about 25,000-plus attendees, and by the time of the actual festival, there will likely be some 200 vendors plying their arts and crafts, food, and other wares.

“I have a few things so far that are new this year,” Morrison says. “Men's hats and camo, fishing apparel, women's hats, cork bags, Blackwater Addiction items, collectable can cases, fall felt flowers, acorns & pumpkins, handmade car and cup charms, and chopstick holders.” There is a seemingly endless supply of goodies to be had at the Hoe-Down.

Other notable items include ladies fashion apparel, homemade soaps and lotions, dog treats & dog supplies, 3D printed toys, jewelry, honey and honey candles, painted wood crafts, hand-sculpted garden decor, hand-knitted items, crocheted items, metal art, jams, jellies, and  salsa, handmade aprons, Southern Sportsman's Apparel, wooden toys, wreaths, and lots more, she adds.

The day will be filled with things to do, buy, and browse, with live music, multiple marching school bands, floats, a parade, kids’ activities, and everything else that comprises a good fall festival.

And food galore—expect boiled peanuts, chicken bog, BBQ, baked goods, fish and shrimp dinners, sandwiches, ice cream, and more.
