Event returns for 46th Year

Conway Riverfest returns to downtown with a full day of entertainment and patriotic passion on June 27.
Now commemorating its 46th year, Conway Riverfest will once again return to downtown this summer, boasting a full day of entertainment, enjoyment, and patriotic passion.
Held on June 27, the Conway area will be rife with family-fun thematic events related to the celebration of the nation’s semiquincentennial.
“Conway Riverfest has always been about community, and this year adds an extra layer of meaning as we celebrate 250 years of our nation’s history,” notes Kelli James, Executive Vice President of the Conway Chamber of Commerce.
According to Margaret H. Geiger, whose firm Twelve31 Media reps the Conway Chamber, the lineup for the day will include:
Paddle Battle River Races at 10 a.m.
Celebrating America’s 250th Anniversary with The Horry County Historical Society bringing Revolutionary War re-enactors, a living history campsite experience, themed photo booth, a Marsh Tacky horse, and immersive moments.
Kids Zone: From 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.—a dedicated area featuring bounce houses, water activities, face painting, and a petting zoo, for a small fee presented by Thompson Farm & Nursery.
Red, White & Vroom Golf Cart Parade at 11:30 a.m.
Stars & Stripes Cornhole Classic.
Additionally, there will be an artisans market and business expo (sponsored by Conway Medical Center and Anderson Brothers Bank), food vendors and beer garden, and fireworks show, sponsored by Conway National Bank.
Live music will be provided by ‘80s bands Slaughter and Vixen, with opening band Badlander.
Last year’s Riverfest saw more than 20,000 attendees, Geiger notes, with even bigger crowds expected this year!
