Little River Launches New Event

Adding to its lineup of popular festivals, the Little River Chamber of Commerce is launching its first-ever Food Truck Festival April 3-4—Easter weekend. Known for hosting the Little River Blue Crab Festival and the ShrimpFest, the chamber is debuting the Food Truck Festival in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Little River.

According to Hubert Bullard, festival director, there will be more than 35 food trucks “from all points in the Carolinas,” and more than 50 arts/crafts/business vendors from throughout the southeast on hand at the Little River Landing along the Intracoastal Waterway.

And of course, there will be lots and lots of good food and beverages, he says.

“Experience the bold flavors from lobster rolls to barbeque to empanadas to funnel cakes and Philly cheesesteaks. From flavorful crepes to the best footlong hot dog with all the fixins—we’ll have it all here to satisfy your appetite. It will be the perfect day for families and foodies alike.”

Additionally, expect live bands playing beach music and rock-n-roll, a kids’ zone with inflatables and games, face painting, and the Easter Bunny will conduct an egg hunt at 10:15 a.m. Saturday prior to the festival’s opening at 11 a.m. Prizes will be awarded!

There will be bleachers on location, but Bullard says attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.

Proceeds from the festival benefit the Rotary Club and its endeavors for the community, as well as the Horry County Council on Aging.
