The Great Christmas Light Show

Arts

Through December 30

This is the 10th year that the City of North Myrtle Beach has treated visitors and residents to a jaw-dropping, drive-through light show. This spectacular show features more than 2 million custom-created lights (and so much more!) displayed along a 2-mile drive throughout the NMB Park & Sports Complex. More than 500 magical light displays, some up to 55-feet tall, have been uniquely made for The Great Christmas Light Show.  “We are proud that it’s 10-years strong, and never the same twice — the Great Christmas Light Show keeps its traditions while bringing new surprises each season,”  says Angel Sylvester, special events & programs manager for the city.  After the light show, everyone is invited to park their car and visit Santa’s Village where hot chocolate and s’mores await. Also, guests can get an up-close look at the lights on the Santa Express Train Ride, and, last but not least, meet and get pics with Santa. Santa’s Village is open Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday only from November 28-December 7. Open Nightly December 11-30 (Closed on Christmas Day). “We know North Myrtle Beach shines in summer—but the holidays deserve their own sparkle,” Sylvester notes. “The City of North Myrtle Beach is proud to host The Great Christmas Light Show at our Park & Sports Complex …Our goal is to create an experience that celebrates the holidays while showcasing the creativity and hospitality our city is known for.”
