Stephanie and Graham, both Conway natives, met and fell in love during their high school days.

“These past eight years have been filled with many boat days, beach days, and fun family time. We both graduated from Coastal Carolina University together in 2019 and are huge fans,” recalls Stephanie. “We love to go to the baseball and football games and tailgate.”

The proposal was set up carefully by Graham, and at the time, unbeknownst to Stephanie.

The couple went to their favorite restaurant in McClellanville (T.W. Graham's), with Graham telling Stephanie there was a house for sale nearby he was interested in seeing. They arrived at a home with a long dock overlooking the inlet. While they were admiring the view, he dropped to one knee and popped the question. Graham had arranged for a photographer friend to take photos afterward, and the couple celebrated that evening with their families.

The black-tie wedding that ensued later “was your traditional big Southern wedding,” says Stephanie, and was held at First Baptist in Conway with about 400 guests. In attendance were 10 bridesmaids and 10 groomsmen. The traditional wedding had a pianist, organist, and a couple of soloists, and the church was decorated with candles and white flowers.

The couple’s reception was held at the Historic Peanut Warehouse. They “rolled up in Graham's great-Uncle Danny`s 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 Skyliner. The warehouse was decorated with mostly pieces from our family's personal collection. It looked like Southern Living magazine in there!” Stephanie explains.

She and Graham make their home in Conway.

Stephanie, who finished her Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from University of South Carolina in August, is employed by Horry County Schools. Graham is employed by Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS).
