The late singer/songwriter’s career began in the 1970s and continued until his death in 2023. Known for writing and performing beach-related songs about a laid-back tropical lifestyle, JImmy Buffett inspired a world-wide group of devotees, called “Parrotheads.” This evening’s show will continue that tropical vibe, featuring Barrie Cunningham’s Adventures in Parrotdise, and coinciding with International Parrothead Day. The tribute band will be singing all the old familiar hits as well as newer ones Buffett recorded with Alan Jackson and Zac Brown. Alabama Theatre, 4750 Hwy. 17 S. Friday, 8 p.m. $29+.
