The 23rd annual Varna International Music Academy will be performing throughout South Carolina in June, with stops in Columbia, Greenville, and along the Grand Strand, among other locations. For this particular event, Varna’s operatic ensemble will perform Puccini’s Messa di Gloria, under the baton of The Metropolitan Opera’s Gregory Buchalter. Varna International soloists, chorus, and orchestra will perform this frequently performed, nine-movement mass, marking 100 years since the composer’s passing.
