Despite not having an interest in meeting anyone at the time, Catherine Finley and John Conway met through a mutual friend who was convinced the two were perfect for one another. Dr. Corey Berlin arranged for Catherine and John to meet at a beer festival in Raleigh, where they live, and from then on, the couple were inseparable.

After three years of dating, they became engaged. John made a big deal out of Valentine’s Day, though Catherine was a bit reticent about going out in all the crowds. John surprised her with flowers, wine and a black stretch limo!

The wedding was a weekend event for their family and guests. They rented a home on Pawleys Island, had a “welcome” barbeque, golf outing at the River Club and rehearsal dinner at Pawleys Tap and Pour, with the wedding taking place at the Reserve Harbor Yacht Club.

The couple embraced a coastal theme with help from Andrew at Callas Florist and Events. Dr. Berlin became ordained just so he could marry Catherine and John! Chelsea McMillan of Ash Events was the wedding planner, with photos by Ryan Smith Photography.

Catherine, who is an Executive Pharmaceutical Business Specialist, and John, an Information Technology Sales Executive, make their home in Raleigh, N.C.
