Surfside Beach offers fun, free, and culturally enriching events on Mondays this summer from June through August as it brings back its popular Summer Beach Hula Shows! These family-friendly outings are sponsored by the town, with new owners of the dancing troop Ohana Kahakai, (meaning “family beach” in Hawaiian; appropriately, Surfside has been known as the Grand Strand’s Family Beach for decades) providing the hula dancers and fire dancers. It’s also an opportunity to learn more about expansive Polynesian cultures. So come out to the beach, bring your blanket or chair in addition to your camera, and watch these authentic Hawaiian dancers perform as they wow the audience with their moves. 3rd Avenue beach access.
