Amber Watts and Brittany Thomason are the strong and dynamic women behind Lux and Love, a new online women’s boutique store based in Myrtle Beach.
Amber Watts is the CEO and Brittany is the vice president of the startup company, which celebrates the idea that every woman should look good and feel confident in what she is wearing.
This dream team of fashionista cousins are living out their dream of providing this service and doing the leg work for the everyday woman without losing the ‘Wow factor.’
Lux and Love offers handpicked luxurious clothing, shoes, and accessories.
“We believe our unique taste for fashion from both classy and trendy covers all the bases any woman will need,” says Amber, who was also selected to be a part of Grand Strand Magazine’s 2022 Most Stylish. “We are constantly learning and changing with the trends as well as keeping a classy, always trendy vibe.”
With a goal of becoming a Fortune 500 company and empowering all women to feel the joy and confidence they deserve, the Lux and Love motto is “It’s always better to be overdressed than underdressed!”
For Amber, her family and children also inspire and support her in chasing a lifelong dream.
“Growing up in Myrtle Beach and being a people watcher, I have seen my fair share of unique styles, and love seeing how people express themselves through their look. I’m blessed to have started dating my dream man at 17 and I started working with him marketing insurance,” says Amber, who believes every woman should be able to look in their closet and love what they see. “We got married when I was 20 and I had my first child at 21. I chose to be a stay-at-home mom. When my first child was just 6 months old. I found out I was pregnant with my second son. I loved being a stay-at-home mom, but I have looked forward to having my passion come to life and get back to the work grind. With my kids getting older, this is the perfect time for me to start a new adventure and focus on my love of fashion. I am so thankful for my boys and my husband that pushed me and supported me in this exciting new chapter.”
Starting a new business can be exhausting, but when Amber and Brittany find the time, they take spa days and shopping days to relax.
Amber and Brittany offer this advice to women who are starting out on their own in the business world: “Follow your dreams always and never give up. Even though it sounds cliché, we are proof that dreams can come true!”
