Robyn and Wesley’s love story is one fit for a Disney couple, which works out pretty perfectly, considering their shared love of all things Disney. The pair met through mutual friends while attending Coastal Carolina University (CCU), Robyn for a degree in Public Health and Wesley for a degree in Business Administration. The couple dated throughout their entire undergraduate careers, but had some time apart when they pursued their graduate studies in different states while keeping their relationship going strong.
When the time came to propose, Wesley knew the perfect place: CCU’s campus. With the backdrop of their favorite campus and surrounded by some of their most favorite memories of their time together there, Wesley popped the question and was met with an enthusiastic yes (after, of course, an initial “Shut up!” from the bride).
The wedding itself was held in a similarly sentimental location, with the celebration of the couple’s love taking place at the Lindley G. Cook 4-H Camp in Branchville, New Jersey. This was the summer camp where the two of them worked as camp counselors, Robyn spending almost every summer in this beautiful 108-acre portion of the Stokes State Forest.
Surrounded by friends and family (and their adorable pup, Yoda!), the couple exchanged their Disney-themed vows, which included subtle nods to some of their favorite movies, in front of a gorgeous lake before heading to the reception. The outdoorsy-themed wedding was relaxed yet classy, with the bride and groom proudly showing off their Chaco sandals along with their formal wear. Decorations had a handmade, rustic feel to them, with bridesmaids even helping to hand-wrap their beautiful, natural bouquets.
The reception itself was truly one to remember, also held at the campground. Friends and family kept coming up with great song requests, causing the party to last well into the next morning.
The couple now happily reside in the Conway area and work at Coastal Carolina University. Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Williams!
