Ali Gray and Lassiter met while attending Clemson University. After five and half years together, they were at Ali Gray’s family’s house on Isle of Palms. Her sister and brother-in-law tricked them into going on the beach to see sea turtles hatching. She and Lassiter were at the end of the boardwalk, and when Ali Gray turned around, he was on one knee. Her sister and brother-in-law were hiding in the dunes, taking pictures of the special moment. The wedding took place at Caledonia Golf & Fish Club. The bride wore an Anne Barge gown with the groom in a classic black tux. The bridesmaids wore dusty blush. The couple had planned on white dinner jackets for their original May date, but opted for black for their new November date. The feel for the day was romantic and sweet, with a color palette featuring soft pinks, grey, gold and a hint of orange. A beautiful flower chandelier graced the middle of the dance floor and the incredible bouquets featured unique pops of orange. Guests loved the mini cheese and charcuterie boards, as well as specialty drinks of frose (the bride’s favorite) and the Gamechanger (a nod to Home Team, one of the couple’s favorite places in Charleston). A painter also worked on a piece throughout the reception, which was a fun touch to watch. Since the pair actually got married on their original date of May 2 at the house in Isle of Palms where they got engaged, the celebration was much more relaxed. There was less stress since they knew they were already married. Ali Gray and Lassiter live in Mount Pleasant.
