The featured dream home is the “Carlisle” model at Waterside Edge, Grande Dunes in Myrtle Beach.

What was asked of you and what did you do? 
We were asked to design and build a southern traditional architectural-style home that incorporated most of the popular features desired by homebuyers today. As such, the home is designed to incorporate an open living concept, perfect for family gatherings and entertaining guests. Given our beautiful Carolina climate nearly year-round, the home features numerous large outdoor living spaces with many magnificent views of the Intracoastal Waterway. The home offers privacy for extended family visits, with a large master suite separated from the rest of the house, flex space upstairs for grandchildren or office use, and private bathrooms for each guest bedroom. 

What did you love most about this project? 
The outdoor living spaces are amazing. You can have a glass of wine on the screen porch while watching yachts pass immediately in front of your house. The house also seems to be the perfect size for our young retiree clientele. It’s just large enough to accommodate extended family visits comfortably, but not too large that it becomes difficult to maintain.

Any noteworthy awards you’re excited to mention? 
Three separate first place awards in ICF Builder Magazine’s national competition for “Best ICF Home.” ICF stands for Insulated Concrete Forms, which is a building method used in areas vulnerable to catastrophic weather events like hurricanes, tornadoes, etc.
