Each year on the third Saturday in October, downtown Loris serves up a Southern staple—chicken bog! The festival started back in 1980 as a chicken bog cooking contest and has evolved into the big event that is a favorite every fall. In addition to delicious eats, the day is packed with vendors, entertainment and fun for all ages.
