What words would you use to describe your style? The word that best describes my style is “resolute.”
What do you want your style to say about who you are? I believe that clothes don’t make a person, rather someone’s “style” is who they actually are and that they are the same person whether they are wearing a three-piece suit or shorts and a T-shirt.
Who inspires you? William Wallace. He was a leader without being a leader.
Favorite stores to shop: Since I have four children ranging in ages from 4 to 15, I seem to spend shopping time in grocery and kid type stores.
Who is someone fashionable you follow on social media and why? I tend not to be a follower in general so I actually do not follow anyone on social media.
Best style advice you’ve ever gotten? To wear what makes you feel comfortable and never make assumptions about anyone based on what they are wearing.
Are there any looks or pieces you once swore off that you now love? It’s funny that it all seems to come back around. As my teenage children “gently” explain to me what is “hip fashion” these days, I wish I would have kept my clothes from the early 1990s.
How has your style evolved? I would not say it has necessarily evolved, rather it has broadened.
What is your best memory from being Most Stylish? On weekends I typically wear basketball shorts or my camouflage cargo shorts so it was probably the grief I got from those who know me the most outside of the office.
A quote you live by: "If excellence is a choice, why choose anything else."
