Mayumi Amada Exhibition

Museums/Exhibits

Mayumi Amada’s Japanese heritage is interwoven into her work. She explores how reusable materials and recycling echo concepts from Zen philosophy and Buddhism, with the idea of reuse containing the meaning of rebirth. Through repeated stitches and patterns, she explores the repetition of generations using traditional techniques through lace-work and doilies.
