The Art of Heather Macali

Museums/Exhibits

Artist Heather Macali creates woven compositions infused with an adoration of patterns and colors from her childhood experiences in the material culture of the Midwest. Influences include games and cartoons like Transformers and Rainbow Brite. The work is inspired by positive memories, which Macali uses to combat society’s addiction to stories filled with violence. There will be a lecture and reception at 2 p.m. on November 7.
