Georgetown-based artist James Calk has received numerous awards and his work has been exhibited widely and collected by many. His large-scale abstract landscapes in oil are composed of vibrant bursts of color juxtaposed with less saturated hues, creating sweeping vistas that beckon for viewers to explore them. Rhythm and Hues will feature an assortment of abstract landscapes, still lifes and semi-abstracted paintings from his tonalist period.
