Virginia Beckham & Andy Traynham

The pair met at a party in Clemson. Virginia spotted Andy from across the room and knew she had to meet him. After six years together, the couple was heading to Charleston for the weekend to celebrate New Year’s and watch the Clemson-Ohio State game with friends. When they arrived in town, their friends told them to meet them at Blind Tiger, but sent Virginia on a wild goose chase because of a “parade.” She ended up having to park the car at a beautiful waterfront park. They got out with their dog so he could use the restroom, and when Virginia turned around, Andy was down on one knee. Their friends were waiting nearby to celebrate with champagne. The ceremony and reception were held at The Isles in Ocean Isle Beach. The family-only ceremony took place on the oceanfront pool deck. The remainder of the guests arrived for a cocktail hour and reception. The bride wore her dream dress by Watters. Virginia didn’t want her bridesmaids getting pinched at the St. Patrick’s Day wedding, so they wore pale green gowns. The ring bearer used pillows made out of the beautiful embellished sleeves of Virginia’s mother’s wedding dress. The couple’s fur baby, Watson, was also present. He walked down the aisle and sat next to Andy, even donning a beautiful floral collar created just for him. The pair threw the best party they could to celebrate their love and the holiday, including an outdoor tiki bar for cooling off from dancing. Fresh flowers in green, pale pink and burgundy rounded out the color scheme. At the end of the night, to-go boxes of cheeseburgers and chicken and waffle sliders with fries made the perfect late night snacks. The couple (and Watson) live in Myrtle Beach.
