This energetic and sardonic comedy turns the sophisticated angst of modern musical theater on its ear. After collapsing, a composer who has been reluctantly working on a song for a children’s television show awakes in a hospital. A specter of the show’s character, a frog named Dr. Bungee, and his unfinished work haunts him throughout his medical trauma. The piece explores the creative mind in recovery and the yearning for fulfillment of life’s dreams.
