Calling all history buffs! Head to the Museum of Coastal Carolina for an evening with presenter Darren Floyd. Floyd will explore the experiences of officers and soldiers on both sides—the Union and the Confederacy—as they competed for control of Fort Wagner, one of the South’s most valuable ports. The fort was located on Morris Island near Charleston.
Museum of Coastal Carolina, 21 E. 2nd St. Tuesday, 6–7 p.m. Free for members; $9.50 for non-members. (910) 579-1016, museumplanetarium.org
