This Charleston-based ensemble specializes in jazz-influenced arrangements of traditional Gullah music. The band’s self-titled debut album was released in October 2017 and was listed number one on the Billboard jazz charts. Enjoy hearing traditional songs in creative new arrangements at Ranky Tanky’s (which is Gullah slang that loosely translates to “get funky”) performance at Wheelwright Auditorium.
