This piece by John Logan features the life of artist Mark Rothko at the height of his career. The audience views Rothko through the lens of his youthful assistant, Ken. As the pair paint, they challenge each other to ask big questions about art and its role in the world. The play is based on a series of real events and examines the relationship between an artist and his creations.
