Visitors of the Baruch family during the early 20th century arrived and departed by boat from a pier overlooking Winyah Bay. Participants on this excursion will get to travel on the water in a charter pontoon to learn the history and ecology of Hobcaw’s 16,000 acres. This “floating lecture” will emphasize the changes since the Barony was first established in 1718, 400 years ago. Reservations are required.
Hobcaw Barony, 22 Hobcaw Road. Monday, 1:30–4:30 p.m. $50. (843) 546-4623, hobcawbarony.org
