This performance by the Long Bay Symphony will explore popular masterpieces based on variations from a single melodic idea. Pieces will include the tongue-in-cheek Variations on “America” by Charles Ives, the artful and charming Variations on a Theme of Haydn by Johannes Brahms, and Enigma Variations by Edward Elgar. Renowned cellist Sang-Eun Lee will also perform Tchaikovsky’s Variations on a Rococo Theme.
