Recording under various leaders since Glenn Miller’s 1944 disappearance, this orchestra keeps a grand tradition alive. Originally arranged around a clarinet and tenor saxophone, Miller developed his own style and sound, making the group one of the greatest and well known of the swing era. Nick Hilscher directs today’s ensemble.
