The couple met through mutual friends in 2009 when they were both attending Carolina Forest High School. The first four years of their relationship were long distance while Aaryn attended College of Charleston and Jordan went to CCU. Aaryn returned to Conway after graduating and after three more years together, Jordan planned a weekend trip to Charleston to celebrate seven years of dating. He proposed on a sailboat in the Charleston harbor in front of the Ravenel Bridge. The wedding was held at the Dunes Golf and Beach Club on the lawn overlooking the ocean and was officiated by a long-time friend of the couple. The reception featured a Southern-style menu and the couple made their exit to guests holding sparklers as they boarded an awaiting helicopter on the lawn. Aaryn and Jordan live in Myrtle Beach.
