In the years since the 2001 terror attacks, more than 7,000 firefighters have made their way to Myrtle Beach for this annual event, an extravaganza of golf and good times for a great cause. Some of the area’s most prominent courses play host, but the event also offers nightly happy hours, an oceanfront cookout and the always-popular belly flop contest. Funds from the event raise money for the Firefighters Cancer Support Network.
