Kathryn Smith, a journalist and writer long fascinated by Franklin Delano Roosevelt and his circle, is the only author known to have penned a biography of Marguerite LeHand, FDR’s secretary, confidante, and friend, in The Gatekeeper. Smith and co-author Kelly Durham have written several Missy LeHand mystery novels, including Shirley Temple Is Missing, The President’s Birthday Ball Affair, Eleanor Roosevelt Goes to Prison, and FDR’s Convention Conspiracy. Now, the two have penned Murder on the CampaignTrain.
