Brookgreen Gardens is celebrating and commemorating the end of slavery in the United States with their Juneteenth Freedom Day celebration. Ron Daise, Vice President for Creative Education at Brookgreen Gardens will be in attendance, engaging visitors with a discussion of the significance of the national holiday, its contemporary ramifications, and ways in which the celebration continues to this day.
