This annual show, held on the third weekend in October, focuses around one of the Southeast’s best wooden boat exhibits. More that 140 classic boats will be on display on the land and in the water. The event will also include children’s model boatbuilding, knot tying, food, music and maritime arts and crafts. A highlight is Saturday’s Wooden Boat Challenge, when teams of two race to build a rowing skiff and then test their boats for seaworthiness. Proceeds benefit the South Carolina Maritime Museum.
