Marking its 22nd year, this annual event serves as The Friends’ largest annual fundraiser in support of the Georgetown Library. Between 10 and 12 residences in and around Georgetown’s Historic District, decorated in holiday finery, will be open for visiting. Additionally, two churches open their doors to tour participants, as do three of the museums in downtown Georgetown. And it’s for a great cause: All proceeds support the children and youth reading programs at the library. Bob Willey, president of The Friends of the Georgetown Library, says people really enjoy the Yuletide tour, frequently marveling at the festive decor. “Through the past few years, the tour has grown considerably in attendance, from 150 participants pre-COVID to 700 last year,” he notes. “And we'd love to have more participants!” Ticket reservations may be made at any of the Georgetown County Library branches or online at the Friends of the Georgetown Library website: https://www.myfogl.org/our-events Tour attendees should go to Prince George Winyah Anglican Church at 300 Broad Street to pick up tickets and tour packets on the day of the tour after 10 a.m. Saturday, 1-5 p.m. $20 for Friends members; $25 for non-members.
