Based on the novel Eleanor and Abel by Annette Sanford, Fireflies tells the story of retired schoolteacher Eleanor Bannister. Eleanor lives a quiet life in small-town Texas and is set in her routines and secure in her position as the most respected woman in town. That is, until a hole in her roof draws the attention of smooth-talking drifter Abel Brown. Can the unexpected sparks of a romance late in life be trusted?
