Myrtle Beach keeps balmy with Souper Supper

As a winter chill creeps to the beach, 50 of the area’s top chefs will labor to warm their patrons with specialty creams, bisques, broths and chowders all the while competing to claim the title of Grand Champion. In its sixteenth year running, the American Culinary Federation-sponsored Souper Supper will raise money, through a $10 admission charge, to present culinary arts students with scholarships at Horry-Georgetown Technical College. And for those in attendance, the $10 charge will unlock the opportunity to sample all the soups. Trophies for the soups are awarded in four categories: cream, broth, vegetarian and Lowcountry/ethnic with sections for people’s choice and judged. Live entertainment will provide some tunes to lighten the mood as soup enthusiasts crowd and clamor in search of the year’s best bowl. So don’t miss this exciting fall event and join the hundreds underneath the large tent in The Market Common.
