Light and deliciously fruity, these wines are perfect for hot summer nights

A to Z Rosé 2020
Dundee, Oregon $16

A to Z, a popular winery in Oregon, was established in 2002 by four wine pros and has received many well-deserved awards. This example shows a lovely blush color, with fresh aromatics of hibiscus, strawberry, watermelon and blood orange. The taste profile is mainly strawberry, rose and thyme flavors. Bright acidity and good balance are present, so it goes well with spicy appetizers and light dishes such as crudites, seafood, and salads.

Notorious Pink Rosé 2019
Languedoc, France $17

This special cuvee is made from the Grenache grape, which thrives in Southern France. Pale pink in color, it offers aromas of ripe peaches, plums, and lavender. Melon, raspberry, and crisp pear show on the palate, with a finish of stewed apples and a hint of spice. Pair with vegetables, seafood and light chicken dishes. The package is a clever frosted bottle with a unique glass cork.

Starmont Rosé of Pinot Noir 2019
Carneros, California $13

A light, spritzy Rosé that emphasizes minimal skin contact with the Pinot Noir grapes, showcases the primary aromatics and bright acidity, leading to the hints of strawberry, melon, pear and rose petals. Starmont is from Carneros, an appellation that overlaps Napa and Sonoma. Always great to enjoy with apps, salads, and lighter fare.

Domaine Lafage Miraflors Rosé 2020
Languedoc, France $18

80-year-old vines supply the Grenache Gris and Noir grapes, then Mourvèdre grapes are added to create a wine with a salmon color and aromas of strawberry, red berries and a hint of watermelon. The mineral notes balance the lively palate with crisp acidity and juicy fruit. A lingering, textured finish completes the taste experience. Drink with Charcuterie, soft cheeses, or with chicken or salmon dishes. This Rosé is worth a try.

Summer Water Rosé  2018
Central Valley, California $16

This popular new wine is simple: Light, aromatic, fruity and floral, with the grapes picked early to achieve natural acidity, just right for warm weather drinking. On the nose, melon, peach and rose scents are prominent. Also aged in stainless steel, adding to the palate notes of strawberry, pink grapefruit and white peach. Enjoy with soft or hard cheeses, cured meats, white fish, shellfish, and salads. With only 100 calories per 5 ounce glass, this is the perfect summer drink!
