The second annual The Market Common Fashion Show will take place Saturday, September 9

Last summer The Market Common teamed up with Grand Strand Magazine to present the inaugural The Market Common Fashion Show. Funds from the show went to Hope House, which provides a safe environment, including shelter and clothing, for homeless teens actively completing the academic requirements for their high school diplomas. The sold-out event was such a success that it will be back for a second year this September.
This is a fashion show with a twist. The amazing clothing and accessories you’ll see on the runway are all from stores throughout The Market Common. See something you have to own? You can purchase it mere steps away from the fashion show.
The models who will be rocking these fashionable pieces from The Market Common will be the winners of Grand Strand Magazine’s Most Stylish competition, many of whom are featured in this issue. The event will include complimentary appetizers, and beer and wine will be available for purchase.
A nonprofit organization, Hope House’s two major objectives are to ensure that the critical needs of homeless high school students (like food, clothing, housing, books and transportation) are met and that medical and dental care are provided as needed. Students can then focus on securing their diplomas and developing their career goals. The long-range objective is to provide a safe dormitory-like living space for students, and they work closely with Myrtle Beach High School’s administration, hoping to build a successful model that can be implemented at other high schools all across the country.
Get ready to enjoy a night of great fashion for a great cause! Be sure to get your tickets early, as this popular event is likely to sell out again.
