Chill out with these easy sippin' wines

Pierre Sparr Riesling 2008  Alsace, $9.99
Light and refreshing, with hints of green apple and citrus. This dry Riesling has a medium body and fresh acidity. Enjoy with a lighter fare, cold dishes and mild cheeses. Low alcohol content makes it easy on the palate.

Les Lauzeraies Tavel Rose 2010  France, $11.99
Bright and clear reddish pink hues. Aroma of raspberry and cherry. Hints of spice, watermelon and strawberry flavors. Well-rounded and dry enough to enjoy with lighter meat dishes, barbecue items, salads and cheeses. Tavel roses always deliver bold taste.

Domaine des Paris Cote de Provence Rose 2010 France,  $9.99
Brilliant pink and a fruity wine. Raspberry and strawberry on the nose and palate. Balanced, fresh and delicate. Enjoy with grilled fare, white meats and lighter dishes and cheeses. Like all roses, enjoy as an aperitif before heavier wines. Alcohol content is 13 percent.

Cuvee Royale Tavel Rose 2010 France, $12.99
Another Tavel rose, but more complex. Created from six different grapes, mostly grenache and cinsault. Begins with a deep pink color and strawberry and cherry aromas. Balanced flavors of strawberry, cherry, spice and dried berry notes. Delicate and juicy, it goes well with Asian dishes, white meats and sushi.

Riesling 2009 Washington,  $10.99
From way out west in the Columbia Valley of Washington state, where Riesling shows best in the U.S. Notes of honey, pear and apricot aromas with delicious fruit flavors, crisp acidity. Always good with spicy foods and fruity desserts.Only 10 percent alcohol.
