The North Myrtle Beach Woman’s Club and the Grand Strand Junior Women’s Club had so much success with the inaugural Purses With Purpose last year, the clubs are bringing the event back for a second year.  
The gala will be held on Thursday, April 10, at the Marina Inn at Grande Dunes. The festivities kick off at 6:30 p.m.

Local male dignitaries and celebrities will model purses donated by celebrities. Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase the handbags during a live auction conducted by the models. There will be door prizes and opportunities to win silent auction items. Live entertainment will be provided by  Carolina Entertainment.

Last year, more than 250 women attended the event and raised $30,000 for local charities. Proceeds will go to local charities that support women, children, seniors and those in  need. The charitable organizations that received funds last year include Sea Haven, Inc., Teen Angels, Center for Women and Children, Habitat for Humanity, Friendship Medical Center, Children’s Recovery Center and more.
