What words would you use to describe your style? Evolving, comfortable and collective.
What do you want your style to say about who you are? I want my style to say that I am someone who is both sentimental and current. I want to be able to successfully blend the “old” with the “new.” I love to evolve with the trends, while staying confident and true to myself and my favorite pieces.
Who inspires you and why? My CEO Gregg Renfrew inspires me both professionally and stylistically. She is the definition of an entrepreneurial trailblazer. She saw a need for change and made it happen. Her style is thoughtfully curated and is a perfect reflection her determination and authenticity.
Favorite stores to shop: Revolve.com, Nordstrom and Melrose Boutique.
Who is someone fashionable you follow on social media and why? I honestly don’t follow many style bloggers. I prefer to follow my friends with “accessible” style. Some of my super cute and trendy friends are @kacihoronzy @bohowild @coleb and @merklapheke on Instagram.
If you could raid anyone’s closet who would it be and why? I will always choose to raid my Mom’s closet because she has so many great vintage pieces!
Best style advice you’ve ever gotten? The best style advice I’ve ever had came from my mom. She has always told me that “just because an outfit looks good on someone else, doesn’t necessarily mean it will look good on you.” Being five feet tall, I totally get it! You have to dress for your body type, size, shape and personal taste. If you are trying to look like someone else, you won’t look like you.
Are there any looks or pieces you once swore off that you now love? Yep. I swore off “skinny jeans.” And now I live in them.
How has your style evolved since you first made the Most Stylish List? My style has definitely evolved since I first made the Most Stylish list. I don’t think I brought a single pair of flat shoes to that photo shoot. In fact, I rarely wore anything without a heel six years ago. Now I live in sneakers, flip-flops, or flats. But the one thing that has remained the same is that I always try to buy pieces that I want to keep forever. I think that if you love something enough to buy it, you should plan to keep it.
What is your best memory from being Most Stylish? My best memory from being Most Stylish was the surprise of making the cover! That’s part of the reason why I wanted to wear the same skirt for this photo shoot. I think it symbolizes that great pieces are the ones that are timeless and hold memories. Style is a reflection of your life--where you’ve been, where you are, and where you’re going.
A quote you live by: There are several quotes I live by. But this one from my dad tops the list: “There are two kinds of people in the world. The ones who make excuses and the ones who make it happen. Be the one who makes it happen.”
