Holiday Party & Catering Guide

Divine Dining Group

Divine Dining Group has been exciting discerning diners since 1989 with a wide spectrum of cuisine and eateries throughout the Grand Strand. The casually classic River City Café features juicy burgers, hand-dipped onion rings, fresh-cut fries, the piled high Reuben, and seafood baskets of grouper, shrimp, or clams strips.

Offering dine in, carry out, and delivery, Ultimate California Pizza, with its many locations on the Grand Strand, is a hit with the locals and visitors alike. With more than eighty gourmet toppings to choose from, subs, salads, sandwiches, awesome wings, and more, it’s no wonder they win Best of the Beach year after year. UCP Game Zone combines the menu from Ultimate California Pizza with games, prizes, an ultimate sports bar, and attractions galore. Game on!

In Surfside Beach, Bubba’s Fish Shack can’t be beat when it comes down to their Southern-style BBQ ribs, fresh-catch specials, fresh salads, calabash-style fish, shrimp, and oysters, and of course the famous “Fried Dill Pickle Nickels.”

A little further south in Pawley's Island, Blue Crab is a “rusty, ramshackle of a restaurant” but shines with character and great food. You can’t get a fresher raw bar, oyster shooters, or steamed seafood. It’s the perfect place to sip an ice-cold beer or chill with a cocktail. The relaxed vibe provides a welcome escape.

The Marsh Walk in Murrells Inlet showcases three of Divine’s standout restaurants. Divine Fish House offers superb waterfront views of Murrells Inlet and features seafood, aged steaks, nightly chefs specials, and a sushi bar. Bovine’s, located at picturesque Wahoo’s Marina, offers wood-fired steaks, fresh local seafood, wood-oven pizzas, and more.

Wahoo’s Raw Bar & Marina features an open-air Tiki bar known for its frozen libations, ice-cold beer, and lively nightlife.
Divine Prime is the place when you’re in the mood for NY Strip, Filet Mignon, or a Porterhouse. The aged beef is USDA Prime with a choice of sauce such as béarnaise or veal demiglace and the seared sea bass is sublime!

City Bar stands out with its custom-infused vodka drinks, plentiful wine list, and tapas. This sleek, elegant dining spot is the perfect choice to surround yourself with friends, great wines, marvelous martinis, and sensuous foods.

Frank’s & Frank’s
Outback Restaurants & Bar

Now entering their twenty-second year of business, Salters and Elizabeth McClary have established one of the Lowcountry’s best and most sought after restaurants. The backstory is interesting. The restaurant was named for Frank Marlow—the gentleman who operated Marlow’s General Store (for forty years!) where the restaurant now sits. Natives remember the store—and Frank—with obvious fondness.

Salters worked as a bag boy at Marlow's during high school. Some years later he confided his dream of opening a restaurant to his former employer. Frank promptly announced his intention to retire and proposed his old store as the perfect spot for the new venture. In a matter of months, one Island institution was transformed into another. History repeats itself in that folks clamor to get to Frank’s. Then and now, Frank’s is a Pawleys Island classic.

Frank’s is really two restaurants at one location. In Frank’s Restaurant, the ambiance is decidedly elegant, but in no way stuffy. With seasonal specialties, fresh seafood, and prime cuts of beef, don’t wait for a special occasion to give it a try.

Outback is, quite literally, “out back” of Frank’s. Here, beneath an umbrella of trees strung with lights, there's a marvelous open-air bar, expansive decks, a fireplace, and a cozy indoor dining area. Private rooms are available. It’s a bit more casual than Frank’s, but no less appealing. And the menu is nothing less than exceptional. Tuesday nights from 5:30 to 8:00 are Family Pizza Nights (gourmet pizzas hot from a wood-burning oven), and Thursday night is Martini and Jazz night from 6:00 to 9:00. Unwind and relax to the smooth sounds of live jazz while sipping your favorite martini and gearing up for the weekend ahead.

Frank’s and Frank’s Outback bars have great atmosphere and are favored by locals. The wine list, hand-selected by the owners, is reasonably priced but reads like a who's-who of the world’s vineyards. Many of them are available by the glass. Both bars open at 4:00 p.m. With free Wi-Fi, one could finish work here—a perfect ending to the day.

Once you are ready to take a break, just turn your card to the red “stop” side.
At Gauchão Brazilian Steakhouse, you are welcome to stay and dine with us for as long as you want!

Indo Thai

Laura Heryadi, sushi-chef extraordinaire, is celebrating her success of Indo Thai at 82nd Parkway this year, as well as
the success of her newest location in
Pawleys Island.

Heryadi, owner of both locations, is a skilled chef of Thai, Japanese, Chinese, and Indonesian cuisines and has become the local’s choice for the extraordinary food. Laura immigrated to the United States in 1991, and after years of working in Japanese and Thai restaurants, Indo made its debut in Florida in 2001. Three years later, Laura moved to Myrtle Beach. Here, she worked as a sushi chef and became known by many locals as the “sushi queen” because she was the only female sushi chef in town. Finally, in 2009, Laura decided to open another Indo Thai in Myrtle Beach, and locals soon became accustomed to her homemade sauces and delicious dishes of not only Thai and Japanese cuisine, but sushi, as well.

Exactly one year later, the doors to the Pawleys Island location opened. Laura can be found at both locations doing prep work for all of the homemade sauces, cooking, making sushi, or just mingling with guests dining in the restaurant. Come and see her because she will surely put a smile on your face with her personality and make sure you leave satisfied after a delicious meal.

The menu ranges well beyond the standard Thai eatery, offering fresh sushi and authentic Thai flavors, as all of her sauces are homemade and have been handed down for generations. The fresh-quality sushi and exceptionally seasoned hibachi exceed expectations.

Indo Thai Sushi & Hibachi features a staff that has more than twenty-five years of combined culinary experience ready to tickle your taste buds.

Indo also has patio seating available and enjoys hosting any party or private occasion. With the holidays fast approaching, be sure to make your reservation early for your friend’s casual get together, rehearsal party, or corporate function. Reservations are available nightly to ensure timely seating. Indo also offers happy hour Monday through Friday, from 4 to 7 p.m. and includes house wine, house liquor, domestic beers, appetizers, and sushi.
