There's no shortage of opportunities to support your favorite non-profit organization
With fall in full gear, so are the ways that you can help the many local charities who depend on the generosity of volunteers.
The American Heart Association has two fundraisers—the Jack Monroe Beach Ride (pictured above) on October 31 through November 4, and the Waccamaw Area Heart Walk on October 13 at The Market Common.
October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and there are several events planned. Georgetown Hospital System is hosting its In the Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Walk and Duck-a-Palooza event on October 6 along the Marsh Walk in Murrells Inlet. The Little White Dress is hosting Couture for the Cure on October 28 at the Dunes Club. The “Pink Your Flamingo” Flock Walk will take place at Barefoot Landing on October 13.
Two events are planned to help our four-legged friends. The Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach is hosting the Paws Across the Water Duck Race on October 6 at Barefoot Landing, and the Grand Strand Humane Society has its Walk for the Animals at Broadway at the Beach on October 27.
