South Carolina State Bluegrass Festival celebrates its forty-first year

Starting Thanksgiving Day, the South Carolina State Bluegrass Festival is the place to be. With every hour of the three-day festival featuring some of the best bluegrass bands around, like Rye Holler Boys, The Grascals, The Bluegrass Brothers, Appalachian Express, and Larry Sparks & The Lonesome Ramblers, attendees will get a hearty earful as well as mouthful. The Myrtle Beach Convention Center, host location of this forty-first annual festival, has ample room for the Thanksgiving throngs to celebrate and listen to great music—and, in the spirit of giving, all parking fees will be waived and chairs will be provided. This is a great way to embrace the roots of American Bluegrass, a truly cultural experience, centered ’round jam-based, acoustic-style music.
